Data Protection Rules and Regulations govern how companies can use and retain your data.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) to collect and hold data necessary to work alongside you to create a funeral of your choosing.

If you have contacted me directly about a funeral service, I will ask you to sign a GDPR information retention agreement when you book. Should you decide not to use my services then your contact data will be deleted from my files within 3 months of your initial enquiry

If we are put in touch through a funeral director, they will enter into a GDPR agreement with you regarding the use of your data.

Where we have an agreement to work together, I will hold your contact details (name, phone number, email and/or postal address), notes of any discussions we have had and decisions made about the funeral, until I have performed your ceremony for you.  Your information is not shared with any third parties unless you give me express permission to do so – for example, if I need to liaise with a venue or family and friends contributing to your ceremony.

After the funeral ceremony, I will securely retain your contact details and a copy of the final approved script in a password protected file, accessible only by me, but I will destroy all my notes from our meetings and drafts of your ceremony within 7 days.
